Please find the OSDU School registration form for the 2024-2025 school year. The annual fee is $100 for the year, $50 for schools that are only registering for the Junior Division (please email me directly if you are just registering for Juniors).

Please note that for OSDU tournaments, the students must be chaperoned by a school sanctioned chaperone. That can be a teacher/club supervisor, but  it can also be a parent. This chaperone may be asked to judge at tournaments.

The tournament will run in-person at the University of Ottawa from Saturday, November 9th to Sunday, November 10, 2024. Format is assumed to be British Parliamentary. View invitation document here.

Registration for this tournament will be $160.00 per team ($80.00 per speaker). There is an initial team cap of 100, but this number is subject to expansion based on judge availability.

They will also have an early bird discount: if a team registers and makes the full payment on or before October 13, they will be charged $120.00 per team ($60.00 per speaker). Please keep in mind that the payments are transferable, but non-refundable.

For students who attend a public school, or who have financial need, we have a limited number of waivers available.  Students who are granted a waiver will be charged $80.00 per team ($40.00 per speaker). If you would like to request a waiver, please fill out the form HERE.

Financial support is available to public schools.

This tournament will be open to all students in grades 7-12, and will be an informative, fun and competitive experience!
The tournament registration fee will be $170 per team, and we have a N/3 judging policy. Registration will be open until October 6. We will have a larger than normal team cap of 20 teams per institution! The Waterloo Autumn HST 2024 will have a cap of 120 teams with five preliminary rounds followed by quarterfinals and junior semifinals. All rounds will be judged by university level debaters.
